![]() wpl files and a) put in correct paths for the USB, b) make any. wpl files for WMP to the root of the USB drive. Observed that transfer had started and completed. With the Play tab selected in WMP, I selected all songs and dragged to the Playlist righthand panel. iTunes will identify your handset and show its icon on the top left. Hi: I am trying to transfer a playlist of MP3s music to a thumb drive for playback in my Honda 2013 sound system via an USB receptacle jack. flac but it looks like that isn't an option here.ģ) If there are incompatible file types on the drive, will MFT even see those? I ask because if I have flac files and convert them to wma, it would be easier to do it all on the drive than it would be to delete the flac files from the drive. 1) Have WMP sync everything to the USB drive. Step one: Launch iTunes and connect your iPhone to the computer via a USB cable. ![]() ![]() ![]() Has anyone tested the upper limits on this? I'd be more in the 5-6,000 song range.Ģ) Anyone have issues with wma lossless format? I prefer. I just bought a 2015 Escape with MFT and tried plugging in a 500GB HDD with some music already on it, and this let me know that rather than buy a couple of 128GB thumb drives, I just need to reformat my hard drive and re-add the music.ġ) The manual says the system will index up to 30,000 songs. How Microsoft could screw up reading their own media libraries is beyond me.Īlso wanted to thank everyone for their posts. The other huge flaw is that Sync reads the Contributing Artist field as Artist so that splits up more things that should be easily addressed. I've forgotten the sequence, but I don' t think I could shortcut it with voice commands and don' t use them since I haven't memorized my large but edited library. The killer for me is that I want to listen to tracks in the order they were created (especially live albums) but the only way to do this without a playlist is to select an individual album (and if I only saved a couple or more tracks, that's several button pushes to get to each small album). I just put playlists on a 32 gb flash and after a verbal warning from Sync that the drive didn't support DRM or something, it played the drive but did not find the playlists. I have used a FAT32 harddrive with just over 100gb that were in wma lossless, so I was momentarilly impressed, but (not related to Ford) WMP wouldn't recognize it to sync additional tunes, and most importantly playlists. Sync developers can't integrate Windows Media Libraries worth a damn
